Inflammatory bowel disease, generally classified as either Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis, is a condition in which the stomach and/or intestine is chronically infiltrated by inflammatory cells, leading to ulcers and bleeding It is characterized by severe diarrhea, bleeding, and ulceration of the mucosa of the intestine. The cause of inflammatory bowel disease is unknown with some patients experiencing mild symptoms and others experiencing debilitating symptoms. Dietary management of inflammatory bowel disease includes fat restriction. Normally Inflammatory Bowel Disease is not a serious condition, However if neglected, it can also lead to cancer or other additional health risks.
