ABOUT GLUTATHIONE AND ECZEMA
Eczema is the most common type of skin inflammation. It is an auto-immune response
to a perceived invader usually caused when there is an abnormal reaction of the immune
system. Eczema is an extremely painful and embarrassing problem that can affect males
and females. One of the most common skin complaints in infants and small children,
eczema is a condition of dry, extra-sensitive skin. Eczema is the result of so many
internal and external factors acting singly or in combination with each other. It
is not considered a disease, not contagious and may disappear before adulthood. Although
the cause is often unknown, eczema is a commonly inherited condition. It often affects
people with a family history of allergies, such as allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Eczema is a chronic condition, but it may be controlled with treatment and avoiding
irritants. Generally located on the face, elbows, knees and arms, Eczema is a skin
condition that is suffered by 10 to 20% of the world’s population.
Low Glutathione levels characterize many skin diseases. Practical applications with
Glutathione-raising substances have been studied in the treatment of several diseases.
